In light of the global threat posed by COVID-19 we have taken the decision to postpone opening Strathnaver Museum and removed our online shop to protect our staff, visitors and the wider community.

We rely on earning a modest income during the season to help with our running costs which aren’t covered by grant funding, such as electricity, insurance, telephone and broadband. Any reduction in our income generation capability could have a devastating impact on our ability to cover these essential costs but you can help! If you intend to visit us or use our online shop in the future why not buy an Admission or Gift Voucher now to use in the future, these won’t be time limited and you can even use them when we open your new and improved museum!

We have taken the decision to close our online shop to ensure our staff can self-isolate and our activities don’t put any additional pressure on the postal service. But that doesn’t mean you can’t help support Strathnaver Museum by buying a Gift Voucher for yourself or a friend to use when we re-open the virtual and onsite shop once the current crisis is passed.
