In 2012 artist in residence Joanne B Kaar explored the mystery of the ‘Melness Shoe’ which was found hidden in the wall of a house being refurbished. Alongside the shoe was the dog skin buoy, on display in Strathnaver Museum, and an empty bottle of whisky! You can make your own Melness Shoe with Joanne’s handy template and instructions which you can find below.
